Santa Parachute Test!
Santa Parachute Test!

Kindergarten students and their 8th grade science buddies worked together to design a parachute for Santa. The students could use a coffee filter or paper towel for the parachute and a paper cup or an index card for the basket.  Other optional supplies were: yarn, tape, scissors, glue and 1-2 pennies.  The goal was to have Santa's parachute land upright and have Santa stay in the basket when dropped from the deck of the library.  There were quite a few crashes and burns, but several times Santa safely made it to the ground!
