Dear Parents/Guardians of Ennis K-12 Students:
The Ennis School District will be providing an off-site, remote learning instructional program for any parents/guardians who wish to keep their students off campus, but remain enrolled in the school district. This instructional model has been created due to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and will be available for at least the fall semester of the 2020-21 school year for those families with health concerns for their student(s). This program will not be available to students within school district boundaries who are not enrolled in the Ennis School District.
The remote learning instructional programs the school district will offer for those students who choose this model of instruction are livestream, Montana Digital Academy, and Acellus for 7th-12th grade students and Acellus w/some live streaming for students in grades K-6.
Students in grades 7-12 will be receiving most of their classes via livestream and Google Classroom with our on site teachers. For classes difficult to livestream effectively we will be offering options through Acellus and Montana Digital Academy. The best fit for these classes will be determined by the building principal and school counselor.
District enrolled remote learning students and families will have a set of expectations in order for this option to be the most successful for the students who participate. For example, students will be expected to maintain a regular school schedule by following the bell schedule and attendance will be taken. Additional information and expectations will be provided for remote learning students when the school year begins.
Families who choose the remote learning instruction model must fill out the Opt-Out form 1908F that is available in the Elementary Office and High School Office by Tuesday, August 25th, 2020. This will give us an account of who will be remote learning and assist in our planning efforts.
