The positive case was reported in the Elementary School and according to the Madison County Health Department and the Ennis School District, students of one specific classroom were determined to be affected by this particular case. For those determined to be at risk of exposure, the Ennis School District has been in communication with those families.
The specific classroom affected will receive remote learning to allow adequate time for the Madison County Health Department to thoroughly investigate and contact trace to determine a safe return to school.
If you are receiving this letter and have not been notified by the Ennis School District or the Madison County Health Department that your child has been affected by this positive case, then school will be business as usual on Tuesday, November 10.
Please note that we will strictly adhere to privacy laws during a health pandemic outbreak and will not disclose identifiable information of those who have been affected. We recommend that any person who feels sick should stay home and seek out their medical provider for specific instructions.
School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.
We are taking this positive case seriously and using this time to prepare the school for a safe return. We remind families to be patient and understanding during this challenging time. Our priority is to keep our school doors open and need your cooperation in helping make that happen. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.
