3rd Graders have been busy learning about history through writing. Each student picked a famous person from history that they wanted to learn more about. They researched why the person was important, their major accomplishments, interesting facts, famous quotes and various other things about them. Students then created life-sized people with all of their research. Some of the people we learned about were Babe Ruth, Louis Zamperini, Jeremiah Johnson, Helen Keller, Walt Disney, Chris Kyle, and Amelia Earhart. Through this process we learned a lot and had a ton of fun. Mrs. Schultz’s class took it one step further and decided to dress up as their famous person during Read Across America Week.
