Breaking ground

As most everyone already knows, the Trustees approved a building project that will add additional storage for our district as well as expand our weight room. Through much discussion during the 2017-2018 school year, the driving force for this project was to increase safety and supervision of students.  Completion of this project is scheduled for August 20, 2018.

Weight Room Expansion - this will increase our current weight room by an additional 400 square feet.  If you are familiar with our current weight room, there is no access from our gymnasium into the weight room.  Currently, our students can only access the weight room from the back hallway of the school, which is an inconvenience for our students and teachers.  In a Physical Education setting, it is important to be able to utilize the gym and weight room at the same time.  With the expansion of the weight room it will allow direct access to the gym.  Teachers will be able to supervise both spaces at the same time to increase safety of our students.

Storage Space - this will allow an additional 1400 square feet of storage.  This is a significant need as we have no additional storage to house chairs, tables, lifts, gym mats, etc.  Right now we utilize our hallways for storage which poses a safety concern for our staff and students.  Adding this space will free up our hallways and give our building a much cleaner and safer look.

We are excited to make our school a safer and more positive learning environment!
