HALF-TIME ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNER TEACHER
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
FLSA Designation: Exempt
UNIVERSAL OBLIGATIONS/EXPECTATIONS OF EACH STAFF MEMBER
It is the expectation of the District that each staff member will: (1) put the safety, health and well-being of students at the forefront of all actions, job responsibilities and decisions, and (2) undertake all duties in alignment with the District’s Strategic Plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborates with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure achievement of English Language Learners (ELLs) across content areas.
Possesses knowledge of strategies for second language theory, learning patterns, and best practices in English language development.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary in evaluating individual learning styles and needs to implement appropriate course of study for individual students.
Plans and delivers lessons in English language development consistent with state standards and District policy.
Reflects an awareness and acceptance of cultural differences exhibited by the students and their families.
Maintains order in the classroom and, in conjunction with administrative staff, administers discipline when necessary to achieve proper behavior. May prescribe extra assignments or detention in cases of student misconduct.
Shares with other teachers and aides responsibility for monitoring halls, study periods, and lunchroom.
Counsels students when academic difficulties or behavioral problems arise.
Keeps records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation. Reports on all aspects of student development for school records and parents; conducts parent-teacher conferences on both a regularly scheduled and an as-needed basis.
Consults with other professionals, where there appears to be evidence of learning disabilities, drug or alcohol abuse, or problems of social adjustment. Coordinates decisions with parents concerning any specialized intervention which appears warranted.
Reports cases of suspected child abuse according to state law.
Complies with Board policies, rules, regulations, and directives.
Works with guidance counselor in helping student select course of study or college.
Performs related duties such as sponsoring a student organization or activity.
Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, professional training seminars, and workshops.
Supervises classroom aides.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Be appropriately licensed and endorsed in accordance with state statutes and Board of Public Education rules.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, parents, staff, and the community.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters.
Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The employee frequently will work irregular or extended work hours while performing the duties of this job. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand; twist at neck and waist; kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in quiet environments. May be required to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
MENTAL/MOTOR DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely performs routine work. The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another). Guidance and reinforcement are infrequently available. The employee frequently works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness intensity. The employee is frequently involved in social interactions which require oral and written communications.

CLASSIFIED POSITIONS
Transportation Director/Route Driver
Ennis School District #52 is actively seeking applicants for a Transportation Director/Route Driver for the 2024-2025 of this school year. This position is 40 hours/week and a 260-day contract. Salary is $75,000 and offers up to $740/month for health insurance. Other benefits include PERS retirement system, sick and vacation leave accrual, life insurance policy, personal days, and holiday pay. Essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following: prepare all buses (including light maintenance) for inspection, manage and evaluate all drivers (activity, route, and sub drivers), work closely with the athletic director in scheduling activity trips, work closely with the district secretary in OPI reporting, ensure all drivers are qualified, maintain the bus barn property (cleaning the facility, plowing the vicinity outside the barn), washing buses as needed, ordering supplies, training potential drivers, etc. We are hoping to combine this position with a morning and afternoon bus route.
Successful applicants must have, or be able to obtain, a commercial driver's license and a Montana school bus driver certificate. Successful applicants are subject to a DOT physical, be certified in first aid and CPR, obtain a federal and state background check, and must be part of our random testing program as required by DOT. Route Bus Drivers - BONUSES and INCENTIVES AVAILABLE ! SEE BELOW!
The district will provide the following incentives and bonuses in the following phases for those obtaining certification:
Phase #1 - All class materials will be paid for by the district. Upon approval of hire by the Trustees, a $1000 bonus will be paid to the employee.
Phase #2 - Upon successful passing of all written tests and classroom test taking, a $1500 bonus will be paid to the employee.
Phase #3 - Upon successful passing of the skills test and road test, a $1500 bonus will be paid to the employee.
Phase #4 - Upon completing 6 months of employment, a $1500 bonus will be paid to the employee.
Phase #5 - Upon Completing 12 months of employment, a $1500 bonus will be paid to the employee.
Ennis School District #52 is actively seeking applicants for Bus Route Drivers for the 2024-2025 school year. Successful applicants must have, or be able to obtain, a commercial driver's license and a Montana school bus driver certificate. This position is approximately 4 to 4.5 hours/day, hourly base wage is $25.00/hr, and offers prorated health insurance for 20 or more hours/week. We are willing to combine this position with a custodial/kitchen helper position to make it 40 hours a week! Colt Club and Friday Program Coordinator
Ennis Elementary School is seeking applicants for a Colt Club and Friday Program Coordinator for the 2024-2025 of this school year. This position is approximately 8 hours per week the fall semester and 16 hours per week for the spring semester. The coordinator position is responsible for organizing the elementary Colt Club afterschool program as well as the Friday program that runs the 2nd semester. Hourly wage is $20-25 per hour. This position may also potentially be combined with other positions in the district.
