Elementary students learned how to make "Bread in a Bag" yesterday and today with GROWW Program Coordinator Shauna Stephenson. Students learned about where the ingredients for making bread come from, i.e., flour comes from various grains that are grown, harvested, milled, and processed. Then they learned how to measure and blend the ingredients, knead and work the dough and shape it into buns. Once the dough had an opportunity to rise, it was baked, and students were given the opportunity to try out their finished product! This is Ms. Stephenson's 2nd year as our GROWW Coordinator, and she is doing great things with our students - thank you Ms. Stephenson!

Ennis Elementary students were treated to a performance by Montana Shakespeare in the Parks this morning! The MSIP program that comes to schools to put on performances and afternoon workshops is known as MT Shakes. The MT Shakes program is always very well done and provides students with excellent exposure to theatre and the visual and performing arts as well as various Shakespeare Plays that are slightly "tweaked" to meet the developmental levels of K-5 students. After eating lunch with students in the cafeteria, the MT Shakes actors and actresses come back in the afternoon to put on acting workshops for our 3rd-5th grade students. Thank you to MT Shakes for the excellent opportunity, and to the Ennis Arts Association for providing the funding each year to bring in such a valuable experience for our students!!

It's a great day when Tammy and the Kitchen Crew cook up your favorite food for lunch!
