The 3rd grade classes just finished up with "The Battle of the Pigs." They read 5 different books, all titled The Three Little Pigs. They voted on which one they liked best, and it was awarded the first place ribbon.

Mr. Malby and Ms. Beckman's PE classes did really well when Sargent Espinoza with Montana National Guard came in and had the students do three fitness tests: push-ups, plank holds and the sprint drag carry. The students seemed to enjoy the friendly competition!

News from Mrs. Sturtz's class: Mrs. Sturtz's kindergarten class along with their jr. high STEM class buddies made Mayflower ships. Each team got one foam paper plate and masking tape. The rules were the plate could not stay in its original form. After everyone was done making their ship we placed the ship in water to see if it would float. If their ship floated they got to put pilgrims (pennies) in their boat. The team whose boat would hold the most pilgrims would win the competition. The winning team was Maclin and Gavin. Their Mayflower held 153 pilgrims (pennies)! In December we will meet with our STEM buddies again and do a Santa parachute drop project.

We definitely had a "House Divided" today here at school with our Cat/Griz fans, but we took the opportunity to take a fun picture of the various Cat/Griz gear we saw at school today. May the best team win at the Brawl of the Wild tomorrow!

It was great to have our local Veterans join us for lunch today for Veterans Day. Students and staff dressed up in red, white and blue to show our patriotism and appreciation. We had 23 veterans show up today and even had one who served in World War II! We also had a K-12 hat day today and raised over $800 to go to our local American Legion. Thank you, Veterans, for your service and patriotism!
