Read across America kicked off Monday with "Reverse Age" day. Teachers dressed like students and students dressed like teachers.

The 2nd Graders spent an awesome day skiing at Discovery Basin on Feb. 19th. The students had lessons in the morning and free skied in the afternoon. Thank you to all the parents who chaperoned and helped make this day safe and fun! See attached picture of all the happy faces!

Mrs. Graden's 2nd grade and Mrs. Hubner's 3rd grade joined forces for a Valentine's Day STEM project! They were having a competition to see who could create the tallest free standing tower made entirely out of hearts. Looks like these two girls have a good start on a winner!

Blind Date with a Book this week in the library! This is a fun way to learn not to judge a book by its cover.

The Ennis Close-Up group had their annual pasty making day on Saturday, February 1. This is a long standing tradition in our community and a great fundraiser for this group. These students and their advisor made 2,300 pasties, making Saturday a very busy day.

Today was a SuperBowl party theme in the lunchroom to celebrate the upcoming game. Students and staff wore their favorite sports team gear as well. We want to thank Tammy Wham and the kitchen crew for helping to make the lunchroom environment so much fun!

A great man was honored tonight at the home basketball games against Twin. The Ennis Booster Club presented the McKitrick family with the "Honorary E" in honor of Mel McKitrick, who served the students of Ennis for over 40 years as a driver and loyal Mustang fan. In addition, the softball fields and bus barn are now named, "The Mel McKitrick Memorial Complex." Very fitting to say the least.

Our January 20th PIR (pupil instructed related) day was a great success. Thanks to the Ennis Police Department for your help with safety procedures and protocols. Thanks to everyone involved and keeping safety a priority.

3rd graders completed animal stories this week. Each student researched an animal of their choice that lives in Montana and wrote a 4 paragraph paper (3 informative and 1 opinion)complete with illustrations. Thank you, Mrs. Dickinson, for the furs you brought in to look at!

How great is our community? A HUGE thank you to Ms. Engle and the Virginia City Elk's Lodge #390 for the recent $250.00 donation to be applied to our after school program. Another great example of doing great things for kids!

4th graders enjoyed a MT History presentation on Jan. 14th by Greg Smith titled "A Visit with an 1879 American Fur Co. Trader." Mr. Smith dressed in era-specific clothing and took on the persona of a fur trader Jim Deacons. The presentation was informative, colorful, and excellent!

This is just another example of how awesome our Booster Club is in Ennis! They handed out some "brain food" for our kids to kick of semester tests! Thanks for your commitment to our students!

It's Finals Week for the high school students. Attached is the schedule for Wednesday through Friday.
