The Ennis Continuing Education Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating
all aspects of the Ennis Continuing Education (ECE) program. This role involves

Congratulations to 6th grader Hailey Myers on winning the 2025 4th-8th grade Spelling Bee! Congratulations, also, to 7th graders Max Hale and Emmylou Edge for taking 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. These three students and the rest of the students in the group picture will represent Ennis at the County Spelling Bee in Virginia City on February 26th. Great job everyone!

K-5 Students were treated to an excellent play by MT Shakes today! In the afternoon, 3rd-5th grade students participated in workshops with the actors and actresses. Thank you to the Ennis Arts Association for helping to sponsor the MT Shakes program again this year!
School will be on a normal schedule and buses will run on their normal route times for today. It is extremely cold this morning so please make sure your student has appropriate cold weather clothing.
At this time, school will run a normal schedule for Monday, January 20th. We will continue to monitor the weather and keep you informed if there are any changes.
The 5th grade students in Mrs. Gerlach's and Mrs. Nelson's classrooms shared some incredible stories for Author's Tea yesterday! The stories their students shared were extremely well written and articulate and a joy to listen to. Thank you to all parents and friends who were able to come and enjoy the event as well!
Just a reminder about the mental health and training resources available to parents through the Cook Center. There are live educational events Mondays through Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. MT time. The live events for each month are always posted on the window outside the elementary office, plus we will post them from time to time on the live feed or news portion of the website.
Come and join us for our Speech and Drama Community Night this Wednesday, January 15th, at 6:30 pm in the high school lobby!
K-12 Parents: Just another reminder that tomorrow is a regular Friday school day. Next week will be the beginning of the 4 day weeks for the 2nd semester so there will be no school next Friday, Jan. 17th.
2nd Semester 4 Day Week reminder: Just a reminder to parents that per our 2024-2025 school calendar, we will have a normal Friday school day this coming Friday, January 10th, but beginning January 17th, school will NOT be in session on Fridays due to our second semester 4 day school week schedule. The only other Fridays we will be in session the second semester will be April 25th and May 30th. Please refer to the attached picture of the 2024-2025 school calendar as a reminder of what the 2nd semester looks like. Information on days not in session can also be found on the events calendar on the school website. In addition, the school district will once again be offering a K-5 Friday Program for the majority of the Fridays school is not in session. More information on the Friday program and how to sign up will be sent out later today or tomorrow. Finally, be watching for information about Friday Little Mustangs from Athletic Director Jordan Overstreet.

Food Bank Fun! The Kindergarten students and their big 4th grade buddies spread some Holiday Magic today singing Christmas Carols throughout the town and stocking shelves at the Food Bank! Great job kids!

In accordance with 18-2-501 MCA, Ennis School District is soliciting for Qualifications submittals from interested parties for a Design-Build contract involving facilities capital planning, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pre-construction and construction services with a guaranteed maximum price for: Ennis School District Design-Build Renovation Project.

Winter Break Reminder: Thursday 12/19 is our last day of school before Winter Break. It will be a regular Thursday schedule so school will release at 3:29. We also will have Colt Club Thursday. Break will run from December 20th through January 1st and school will resume on Thursday, January 2nd.
Elementary students went over to sing to the Madison Valley Manor Friday afternoon after doing Art Day in the morning. The students and residents both had a great time!
K-4 and 5th-12th Concert Appreciation: Thank you to Mrs. McCollom, Mrs. Zucker, the student performers, and their accompanists for putting on two wonderful concerts last week. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support the performers as well, and thank you to the Lions Club for sponsoring Santa's visit again this year. Once again, we had two enjoyable Holiday concerts full of fine music, festivity, and fellowship.
