Open House Update for August 20th: The Open House time has been moved to 4-6 p.m. to better accommodate parent work schedules. Students and parents are invited to come meet teachers for the 2024-2025 School Year. Since we originally were going to go at an earlier time, we don't have dinner planned like in previous Open Houses, but we still hope people are able to swing by and meet staff and see student classrooms. See you on the 20th!

One of our Academic Olympic teams was selected to compete at the state competition in Missoula April 22-23. These boys worked their brains extremely hard with individual and team competitions. When it was all said and done they finished 6th as a team overall. Not bad for the first time an Ennis team competed at the state competition. Congratulations to Vance Wingard, Zach Foss, Creed Allen, Aiden Kramer, Peter Kelley and Emry Veland. A big thank you to their coaches, Cindy Pederson and Anthony Gossack.

Baby chickens have hatched! Mrs. Rice's 1st graders and Mrs. Klein's Kindergarteners are starting to see some baby chickens hatch! This chicks in the picture are from Mrs. Rice's class. She came in on Friday morning to find four little furry friends waiting for her in the incubator with one more pecking its way out of its shell. The students were so excited and anxiously await the arrival of their next group of feathered friends...some ducklings!

3rd grade students took advantage of a beautiful spring day on Wednesday and went outside with Elementary Counselor Mrs. Abbie McKitrick to write positive messages on the sidewalk outside of the Elementary school main doors. As you can see by the pictures, they did a great job! Unfortunately, 24 hours later elementary students were building snowmen at recess, and some of the awesome, positive messages were washed away, but that is spring time in Montana I guess! Great job 3rd graders and thank you for your efforts in spreading positive energy and messages!

Elementary students out enjoying the spring snow storm! I love the teamwork between students and staff out there building snowmen. The kids also know who to recruit to get the final piece (the head portion) put on the snowman. It helps when you have a teacher who is over 6' tall on recess duty - thank you Mrs. Klein!

The high school student council collected money today to donate to a local person who is fighting cancer. Students in grades 6-12 were able to wear pajamas, hats, and bring coffee for a dollar each. Overall they collected $527. Great job student council and Ennis students!

The Kindergarteners took a trip to the Ennis National Fish Hatchery yesterday and learned all about what the staff does out there to be able to grow thousands of fish to stock rivers and lakes here and around the country. Thank you to the wonderful hatchery staff for taking the time to show our students around!

Please check out the NEWS section for the school board meeting summary from March 13th. Call with any questions!

Mrs. Rice's 1st Graders have their Leprechaun traps all set for this weekend! I can't wait to see what they catch! Take a look at their awesome traps!

The Ennis High School boy's team placed 5th out of 43 teams at Academic Olympics! Congratulations boys!

Congratulations to all of our Missoula Children's Theatre performers on their fine performance of Treasure Island last Friday! Students worked hard all week preparing for the two performances on 2/23, and each crowd was treated to an excellent musical as a result. Thank you to Abby Thomas for coordinating the events for the week, Ennis Booster Club for sponsoring MCT week, and to the many volunteers and businesses who provided lodging, meals, etc. throughout the week. A special thanks goes out to the following volunteers/businesses: Lure Me Inn, Brunner Studios, Burnt Tree Pizza, Nacho Mamas, Pic-A-Nic Basket, Tavern 287, Alley Bistro, Madison Foods, Plain Janes, Engel and Volkers Real Estate.

Mrs. Croy's 5th grade class and Mrs. Myers' 1st grade class got together for a buddies activity the other day. Check out the colorful Skittle art! My guess is quite a few Skittles didn't make it into the artwork! :) Thank you, 5th graders, for working with the littles and providing good examples for them.

These plans were on the agenda for stakeholder input and the board decided to not make any changes to the plans at this time.. These plans were a result of our response to Covid and the ESSER money we were allocated. Please call the school if you have any questions!
