Read Across America Week is over. Our students collected 300 pounds of pet food for our community's stray and rescue animals. Our students brought in $654 and our amazing Booster Club donated another $300. When we delivered the food we got to meet one of the fur babies that our donations will help. This is Cinder who was hit by a car. She was in labor and was due to have kittens any hour.

Mrs. Swanson's 6th graders taught a math lesson to their 1st grade buddies in Mrs. Rice's class last Friday. It was so fun watching the older students interacting so positively with the younger students. Great job 6th graders!

This week in the library the students are going on a blind date with a book. Not only is it fun, but it’s a good lesson on not judging a book by its cover.
