We have a lot of students taking advantage of the nice weather to walk or ride bikes to school. This is so great to see. We will continue to remind students about using crosswalks and how to safely walk to and from school. Please help on the homefront with this education as well. Finally, let's all be extra watchful in keeping our kids safe on the way to and from school.

Colt Club update: as mentioned in the welcome back letter, Colt Club is still up in the air while we see how the first month of the school year goes with COVID and we also work to staff this after school program for the year. The original start date posted on the website showed that it was to begin on Tuesday, August 31st - this has been postponed at this time. If you know of anyone interested in working Colt Club, please direct them to Elementary Principal, Brian Hilton. Interested persons will need to fill out an application and go through a background check to be considered.

We are off and running here at Ennis Schools! It has been an incredibly busy and positive week. Dr. Gerry Nolan was a guest speaker for the staff on Monday with the message "Self Care, Self Love" and it was very well received. Monday night we kicked off our staff appreciation BBQ which was a hit as well! Mr. Hilton (Principal), Mark Womacks (School Counselor), and Dino Fanelli (Trustee) kept very busy flipping burger and turning bratwursts! Very excited to be back and seeing our students this week! Thanks everyone for your continued support!

A few reminders and a thank you: Just a reminder that tomorrow (Friday, June 4th) is the last day of school and will be a shortened school day. Students will be released at 11 a.m. after checking out of their classes. Breakfast and lunch will not be served tomorrow due to the shortened day. Report cards will be mailed out early next week. Finally, I want to thank all of our students, staff, and parents for an excellent school year and for the parent and community support as we navigated the challenges of a school year in a pandemic. I hope you all have a great summer!

The K-4 students had awesome weather for Elementary Track Day yesterday! It was a lot of fun to see all the students compete and cheer each other on and a great way to help wind down the school year. Thanks to Mrs. McNally for organizing the track meet and all the staff and JH track students who helped run it.
