The Ennis High School boy's team placed 5th out of 43 teams at Academic Olympics! Congratulations boys!


Just a reminder that the next installment of the online Mental Health Series will be tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. via Zoom. This is a free parent support system that is put on monthly by the Cook Center. This month's topic deals with ADHD and supporting your active child. Congratulations to all of our Missoula Children's Theatre performers on their fine performance of Treasure Island last Friday! Students worked hard all week preparing for the two performances on 2/23, and each crowd was treated to an excellent musical as a result. Thank you to Abby Thomas for coordinating the events for the week, Ennis Booster Club for sponsoring MCT week, and to the many volunteers and businesses who provided lodging, meals, etc. throughout the week. A special thanks goes out to the following volunteers/businesses: Lure Me Inn, Brunner Studios, Burnt Tree Pizza, Nacho Mamas, Pic-A-Nic Basket, Tavern 287, Alley Bistro, Madison Foods, Plain Janes, Engel and Volkers Real Estate.




Mrs. Croy's 5th grade class and Mrs. Myers' 1st grade class got together for a buddies activity the other day. Check out the colorful Skittle art! My guess is quite a few Skittles didn't make it into the artwork! :) Thank you, 5th graders, for working with the littles and providing good examples for them.







There will be a special board meeting on Tuesday, February 27th @ 5:30pm in RM #3 of the HS to accept supt. resignation, discuss supt. search, consider second reading of 8th grade participation policy, facility assessment contract with McKinstry, discussion of preparation for legislative session, hire 5th grade position, and consider retirement package. The school board reviewed the American Rescue Plan and the Safe Return to school Plan last night at the school board meeting on February 12th, 2024. These plans were on the agenda for stakeholder input and the board decided to not make any changes to the plans at this time.. These plans were a result of our response to Covid and the ESSER money we were allocated. Please call the school if you have any questions!

Congratulations to Max Hale on winning the Madison County Spelling Bee on Feb. 7th! Max will now go on to compete in the Montana State Spelling Bee in Bozeman on March 9th. Congratulations, Max, and good luck in the State Bee!


Just a reminder that the February school board meeting has been changed to Monday, February 12th @ 5:30pm.

100th day of school! Some students and staff celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up like they were 100 years old. I saw some awesome outfits today. Check out Mrs. Klein's kindy class and this self-proclaimed "grumpy" elderly lady I came across in the hallway today!



Ennis School District 52 is currently seeking two trustees for three-year terms. Anyone qualified for and interested in running for this position may pick up a petition from Ginger Martello at Ennis High School. Petition must be turned in at the Ennis School District Clerk’s office prior to 4 p.m. March 28, 2024. No candidate may appear on the ballot unless he or she meets this deadline. If you have any questions about the trustee positions, please call Superintendent Casey Klasna at (406)682-4258.

4th-8th Grade Spelling Bee Results: Congratulations to 8th grader Celee Klasna for winning the Ennis School Spelling Bee for a second year in a row! Runner up was 8th grader Kahryn Vaudrin. Celee and Kahryn will now compete at the Madison County Spelling Bee along with Anna Kelley, Cienna Huyser, Braxton Nichols, James Henrich, Jack Leonard, and Sven Gustafson. The Madison County Bee is on Feb. 7th at 10 a.m. in Virginia City in the County Administrative Building. Space is limited, so if you would like to watch/listen from afar, you may do so through with the following information provided by County Superintendent Pam Birkeland. Thank you to Mr. McCown and the students in his Fabrication Class for designing and building a lost and found bin/coat rack for the elementary. They even added some Mustang Swag to the bin to help make it our own! Thank you and great work!


Reminder that there is an informational meeting tonight (1/15/24) at 5:30p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria to learn more about the petition to remove the hospital district from the Big Sky area.

Due to inclement weather certain games and activities have been canceled. HSBB vs. Townsend for Friday, 1/12/24 had been postponed to Tuesday, January 16th. Speech and Debate that was scheduled in Townsend on 1/13/24 has been canceled. HS Boys BB scheduled to play in Lima on 1/13/24 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. We appreciate your patience and understanding

Save the Date! The Missoula Children’s Theater is coming to town the week of February 19th through the 23rd! This year’s play is TREASURE ISLAND! Follow young Jim Hawkins and his friends as they sail a dangerous sea of adventure with Long John Silver and his pirate band at the helm! The audition will be right after school on Monday, February 19th! All students grades 1-8 are invited to audition! More info coming home soon!


Students in Mrs. Klein's kindergarten and Mrs. Brozovich's 4th grade took items down to the local food bank today to help people in need over the holidays. Great job, kids!
