Dear Ennis Mustang Families,
Just recently over this past weekend, the Ennis School District was notified by the Madison County Health Department that two students tested positive for COVID-19.
The positive cases were reported in both the middle school and elementary school. According to the Madison County Health Department and the Ennis School District, there are students in the middle school and the elementary school that are considered to be close contacts. All students affected by these positive cases were notified either by the Ennis School District or the Madison County Health Department.
If you have received this letter and have not been notified by the Ennis School District or the Madison County Health Department, then school is business as usual. Students affected in the middle school will still return to in-person instruction on Monday, November 30. Students affected in the elementary school will return to in-person instruction on Tuesday, December 1.
Please note that we will strictly adhere to privacy laws during a health pandemic outbreak and will not disclose identifiable information of those who have been affected. We recommend that any person who feels sick should stay home and seek out their medical provider for specific instructions.
School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.
We are taking these positive cases seriously and using this time to prepare the school for a safe return. We remind families to be patient and understanding during this challenging time. Our priority is to keep our school doors open and need your cooperation in helping make that happen. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.
